Grace Brethren High Takes Southern Section Championship

Grace Brethren High School’s football team took it’s second consecutive CIF-Southern Section championship on Saturday night. Below is a portion of a report from the Ventura County Star. Grace Brethren wins Division 4 final for second straight CIF-SS football title

George Bowers couldn’t help himself. He just had to dance.

At game’s end, with his Grace Brethren High football teammates lined up near midfield to receive the championship trophy, Bowers stood about five yards behind them doing his happy dance,

“I can’t help myself,” the junior defensive back said as he showed off his moves. “I have to celebrate. It’s my first championship. There’s no better feeling.”

Grace Brethren corralled its second consecutive CIF-Southern Section championship on Saturday night, and Bowers was among a host of Lancers who played a prominent part.
