Grace Brethren Take in CLA

Apr 21, 2009

A number of Grace Brethren people are at the Christian Leadership Alliance annual conference, which is being held this week in Atlanta, Ga. The organization, which was formerly the Christian Management Association and the Christian Stewardship Association, is the nation’s leading resource for enhancing the organizational effectiveness of churches and para-church ministries. Above, Dawn (left) and Ted (right) Rondeau, members of the Winona Lake (Ind.) Grace Brethren Church visit with Alan Wisenberger, a member of Grace Church, a Grace Brethren Church in Orange, Calif. Ted is chief development officer for ICDI. Alan works with the Evangelical Christian Credit Union.

Dr. Larry N. Chamberlain, CEO and president of the Grace Brethren Investment Foundation, presented a workshop this afternoon on Getting and Keeping the Right People on the Board Bus. The 90-minute session focused on how to recruit, retain, and develop the board of directors.

These individuals represent just a few of the Grace Brethren present at the conference. Among those in attendance are Mark Holbrook, also of the Orange church and president of ECCU; Dave Lewis, chief development officer for Grace Brethren International Missions; Jim and Linda Augsburger of the Grace Brethren Church of Columbus, Ohio. In addition, Grace College graduate Marc Eckel, of Splat Experience, performed during this morning’s plenary session.
