Grace Church, a Grace Brethren congregation in Sebring, Fla. (Dr. Randall Smith, pastor) is taking the Grace Brethren motto “the Bible, the whole Bible, and nothing but the Bible” to the Internet’s most thriving video site. The YouTube teaching series titled One Hour. One Book. takes 20-60 minute snippets from the weekly lectures at Great Commission Bible Institute (GCBI) with the purpose of giving the viewer a better understanding of each book of the Bible as a whole.
The videos are presented by Dr. Randall Smith, pastor at Grace Church of Sebring, and director of GCBI, a year-long discipleship-center Bible school aimed at equipping young people with a Biblical worldview. The full series is a work in progress, but 14 of 66 are already available for viewing on YouTube. Some of the videos already published include those discussing the books like Genesis, Deuteronomy, Matthew, and Hebrews.
Dr. Smith’s unique approach to teaching is based on interpretation guided by his educational background in Hebrew culture and archaeology, as well as real-life application. The videos involve in-depth discussions of the historical background of each book and an intentional focus on the ‘big picture’ of the Word.
