Grace College will break ground on its Alpha Dining Hall renovation and expansion on Thursday. The college says the $5.5 million project will create more space for students to dine, and include food stations that meet a variety of dietary needs, as well as an allergy-friendly prep space.
The project, according to the college, will feature an update to the current space’s aesthetic appeal, as well as kitchen equipment and ventilation.
Alpha Dining was dedicated in 1964 as a dorm and dining commons. The college says, as its community continues to grow, the dining needs continue to change and an increasing number of students have food allergies and sensitivities.
