Cindy Sisson

Cindy Sisson, vice president of enrollment management and marketing at Grace College, Winona Lake, Ind., completed the 2016 HERS Denver Summer Institute, June 13-25, 2016. Sisson joined 62 women leaders across the United States as part of the HERS Institute at the University of Denver.

For more than 40 years, HERS has prepared women faculty and administrators for leadership roles in higher education. At one of the three HERS Institutes – HERS Denver, HERS Bryn Mawr, and HERS Wellesley – participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to lead change on their campus and positively affect higher education. The participants selected for this year’s HERS Denver cohort represent institutions across the U.S.

Institute sessions included Managing and Leading Change: Your Role in Re-inventing Higher Education, New Partnerships & New Pathways, Leaning into Turbulent Times, Exploring Inclusive Excellence and Reframing: Work-Life to Living Well.

“This institute was an opportunity to learn from women who fill leadership roles in higher education.  This training offers women aspiring to higher education leadership positions the guidance to expand their leadership skills and broaden their knowledge while providing a lasting network of colleagues from across the nation,” said Sisson.

Sisson has served as vice president at Grace since 2013.  Previously she was dean of enrollment management for six years. Under Sisson’s leadership, enrollment has increased annually at Grace College.
