The Grace College Women’s Soccer team fell 1-0 in semifinal play this afternoon in the NCCAA national tournament. They lost to Dallas Baptist University during a Friday noon game.
“So very proud of the season our Lady Lancer’s put in this year!,” said Grace College President Dr. Bill Katip in a post on Facebook. “They did a marvelous job while competing for their Lord down in Florida! That ‘G’ on their jerseys was represented wonderfully through their play and through their actions. They displayed the Grace of our Savior fantastically at the NCCAA’s.” He also complimented Coach Michael Voss for his hard work.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A valiant run through the 2013 NCCAA National Tournament ended on Friday with a 1-0 defeat to Dallas Baptist in the national semifinals.
The Lady Lancers conclude their season with a record of 12-7-3, advancing to the national semifinals for the second consecutive season under head coach Michael Voss.
“I’m so proud of our Grace women. They played great futbol all week. Today was a fantastic match to play in with a high-level matchup against a quality DBU squad,” Voss said. “We defended well, had great possession and ingenuity and created several chances to win it. It was not meant to be, but it could have gone either way.”
