
Hannah Herbster and Clarissa Knight, members of the Grace College softball team, received recognition for their outstanding seasons on the annual All-Crossroads League Team.
Herbster, a native of Lakeville, Ind., was named to the All-League Team, and Knight, fromNineveh, Ind., received honorable mention for All-League.
The Lady Lancers posted a record of 23-26 in the regular season, finishing fifth in the league standings. Grace has advanced to the second day of the postseason league tournament, resuming play on Saturday 11 a.m. against Mt. Vernon Nazarene. The winner receives an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships.
Herbster is currently batting a team-high .422 as the leadoff hitter. She ranks third in the league in batting average and runs scored (46) and is second in hits (81) and stolen bases (30).
Knight became Grace’s career hits leader this spring. The lone senior on the squad is hitting .345 for the season, pounding out 50 hits and 25 RBIs in 50 games so far.
