Jim Brown, right, pastor of Grace Community Church, a Grace Brethren church in Goshen, Ind., gave the opening prayer yesterday (Tuesday, March 2) at the Indiana House of Representatives. He traveled with Wes Culver, the Republican representative from District 49 (Elkhart County).
He recounts his experience on his blog, the Brown Bytes. “They announced me as the pastor of the day, and then I proceeded up to the front to pray. I kept the prayer simple and prayed for wisdom, discernment, and decisions to be made, that God would be pleased with. I closed my prayer in the name of Jesus.”
