Chuck Davis, executive director of Caribbean Vision Ministries, has sent this note after his wife, Millie, suffered a stroke recently. Continue to pray for Millie and Chuck as she recovers.
Thank you for praying for my wife Millie for the last several weeks following a stroke that occurred shortly after we returned from Haiti. After an ER visit, a family doctor visit, a neurologist visit and a series of tests it appears Millie’s problems have been diagnosed and treatment is in process. It appears that medication and regular physical activity will control her problems. She does not need any physical therapy for the problems that have affected the right side of her body but she will need some speech therapy to continue to have her southern drawl and hold her on in any conversation.
We are thankful that the stroke was not any more serious than it was and will allow her at some point to continue all the regular activities she enjoys being involved in. For a while our travel schedule will be impacted and our activities will require some rearrangement. Millie is already looking forward to returning to Haiti in January 2016.
Millie and I would appreciate your continued prayers as Millie progresses to a full recovery. God is good and has a perfect plan at this time in our lives. Your friendship and partnership in God’s ministry are deeply appreciated.
