Grace Brethren Church welcomes new worship director
Goldendale is still a happening place and a destination for people. Just ask the folks at Community Grace Brethren Church!
Jan Johansen, a 2000 graduate of Western Seminary in Portland, OR, brings an exciting dimension to the worship experience. His master’s degree in church music and 15 years of ministry has allowed him to reach out to many worship seekers. His goal is to build a team of next generation worshipers, while not leaving our seniors in the dust.
“It’s important that we train up those to follow in our footsteps,” says Johansen. “Worship is more than raising your hands at church and singing songs. It’s the totality of your life and people need to know it and live it.”
“I’m excited about the potential that exists in the Goldendale community because the potential for community, real community, exists here. Maybe that is what drew us to Community Grace.”
