Ohio Church Plant Has Three Prayer Requests

Apr 22, 2009

Sterling Grace is a Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches church plant in Mt. Sterling, southern Madison County, Ohio. The church has a local pastor and is slowly growing.

Currently, the church meets Sunday nights in the Mt. Sterling Community Center, but it is making preparations to launch Sunday morning services in the autumn. Pastor Mac Cordell requests prayer in three specific areas.

First, the church is praying for a new family a month, in whatever form God chooses to send that family and regardless of what the family looks like (married, single, widowed, children, no children, young, old).

Second, the church is praying for a worship leader – someone who can walk congregants into the presence of the Lord using various forms of worship (prayer, song, offering, readings).

Finally, the church is praying for a leader of the childrens’ ministry – a mature Christian or Christian couple that truly feels this is their ministry and realizes this is possibly the most important ministry the church offers. The pastor sees the children and youth leader to be as important to the Kingdom as any pastor or missionary.

Cordell says, “We know the harvest is planted but the workers are few. We’re asking that you join us in beseeching the Lord of the harvest to send workers out into His harvest.”
