Today, Operation Barnabas kicked off and we have wasted no time! Since OB is shorter this summer (almost by half), orientation is much more compact. Students arrived for registration in Winona Lake, Indiana, at 8 o’clock this morning, and orientation kicked off shortly afterwards. After some time playing some icebreaker games, students started their first choir practice at 9:30, and orientation was in full swing.

After choir, leaders were introduced, and students sat through a training time where they got to learn the Operation Barnabas theme passage, Acts 11:23-24. Guidelines were then communicated before lunch was provided by Grace College! Then, the classic OB “thank you” song was taught to be able to show our gratitude throughout the summer to those who provide for us. By 1 PM, students had already experienced a full day!
However, we weren’t even halfway yet! After a choir practice and a training time on outreach, students discovered what team they were on, much to their surprise. The teens then divided into their teams and were then split into three groups to work on skits, dances, and puppets.
