Prayer Requested for Manahan and Serafino Families

Dec 15, 2016

Two ministry families in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches are experiencing the deep waters of illness and death and could use prayers on their behalf.

On Tuesday, Barbara Manahan suffered a stroke. She is the wife of Ron, who served as president of Grace College and Seminary for 20 of the 35 years he was on the faculty. Their son, Nathan, posted this on Facebook today:

Today we got some good news as mom was able to pass the swallow test and immediately ordered an omelet. We a very thankful for this unexpected outcome. We continue to rejoice for each day and look to trust God on this journey.

Also on Tuesday, Keegan James Serafino was born prematurely to Clint and Tara Sarafino in Charlotte, N.C. Within 14 hours, he was gone. Clint is the son of Pastor Greg and Cari Serafino at the Grace Brethren Church, Osceola, Ind., and Tara is the daughter of Jim and Tammi Robinson, Warsaw, Ind.

Clint posted this on Facebook yesterday:

Dearest world, we had no idea how vast you would become in our time of need. Thank you to everyone who shared Keegan’s first post. Unfortunately, as most 22-weekers, Keegan went on ahead of us to heaven last night. Our hearts are heavy and our tears are dry. Just as quickly as he arrived, he departed.

Clint and Tara’s church have set up a Go Fund Me page to help with related medical expenses. Click here for more information.
