Remembering Those Who Have Served
The Eagle Commission serves as a strategic link between the people of Charis Fellowship churches and its military chaplains around the world. As we observe Memorial Day this week, here is a story of how chaplains provide pastoral care and ministry in the midst of difficult situations. LTC Billy Graham (U.S. Army) shares an experience from 2003 during a tour in Iraq. It is a reminder to pray for our military chaplains but also to remember that the sacrifices of servicemen and women secure our religious freedoms in the U.S.
[Connect:] Take a moment to send a note to Billy Graham and to Mark Penfold (chaplain ministries’ endorser) and to thank them for their service and to encourage them. To learn more about the Eagle Commission, visit their website here. |
