National Day of Prayer observance is Thursday
The local observance of the National Day of Prayer again will be held on the lawn of the Wood County Courthouse on Thursday at noon, weather permitting. In case of inclement weather it will be moved to the nearby Trinity United Methodist Church.
Organizers are hopeful the weather will cooperate this year as the last two observances have been at the backup location. … This year’s pastoral speakers to lead prayers are the Rev. Larry Garzony, Rudolph Christian Church; the Rev. Rod Peebles of Grace Church in Bowling Green; the Rev. Amy Joy Miller of First United Methodist Church, Bowling Green; the Rev. Gary Wackler of Weston Church of Christ; the Rev. Dana Ward of Trinity United Methodist Church; the Rev. Don Williams of Active Christians Today; the Rev. Tim Shaal of Sugar Ridge Community Church; and the Rev. Jeremy Metzger, Dayspring Church.
