Ron Boehm, Grace Brethren pastor and church-planter coach, who was hospitalized more than a week ago to repair an abdominal aneurysm, is now at home. His wife, Chery, posted the photo above along with the following post on Facebook yesterday. Also included below is a post from their daughter, Joy Patton. Praise God for Ron’s miraculous recovery and pray from his continue healing.

Day 11 (Sunday, November 2) The headline on the front page of the Cleveland Sunday Plain Dealer today describes our story: HAPPY TOGETHER AGAIN! We are home together again and very happy! Ron was discharged this morning and we arrived home at about 1:30 — just in time for some Browns football and a victory! Our heavenly Father again arranged timing so perfectly. Zach decided to take me to the hospital in the morning and helped with all the final details when we learned of the release. We returned to thrilled neighbors and rejoicing family members. Zach then packed up his car and headed back to Nashville for work in the morning. He so much wanted to be a part of his dad’s return to home. Please pray for safe travel tonight for him and his wife, Sarah.

Our daughters and their families went back to Akron for their evening church service. Ron and I enjoyed a quiet little break. Then at about 7:15 we welcomed our LifeSpring Church family into our home for a time of prayer. Our intimate circle of a dozen brought much praise, thanksgiving, and honor to our Lord for what He has done. Would you please join with us in declaring His love, grace, mercy, and marvelous healing power? As you share our story, reflect His glory! Praise Jesus!

From Joy Patton

Sunday morning reset: “Our God is healer; Awesome in power.” This morning we sang “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” in church. One week ago today I listened to my sister sing that song in the SICU at University Hospital. My dad was on a ventilator and heavily sedated. At that point, we knew dad’s life had been spared after an aneurysm, but didn’t know how much of him would return to us. Today my dad went home after spending 10 days in the hospital and will likely make a full recovery. We are so grateful to God for his healing. The staff called him the ‪#‎miracleman‬ because most people don’t make it to surgery and even fewer survive the surgery.

This past week I was reading “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” a sermon by Jonathan Edwards, with my students. He reminded his audience that God is the one who holds your life in his hands. He is the one who decides your birth day and your death day. Because of Jesus, we remained hopeful that no matter the outcome, my dad would be at peace. Because of Jesus, we rejoice that there is more kingdom work for dad and mom to do together for as many years as the Lord gives. My heart is overflowing with gratitude.
