Julie Schumacher, director of communications at the Grace Brethren Church, Long Beach, Calif., has accepted a position with an international ministry called Daughters of Cambodia, which works with victims of sex trafficking. Through Daughters of Cambodia, young women are offered skills training and employment in one of seven small fair-trade businesses and a range of social, psychological, and spiritual resources to help them heal. Julie will be managing the newest business, the White Linen Guest House, welcoming teams and guests coming to work withDaughters, and training young women in the program in housekeeping and guest services. She hopes to be in Cambodia by the end of March. She is partnering with Encompass World Partners for her financial support.
