Light in the Darkness: Studies in the Gospel of John, the second volume in The Kent Collection, has just been released by BMH Books of Winona Lake, IN.
The collection, which includes the re-issued commentaries on 15 New Testament books by former Grace College and Seminary president Homer A. Kent, Jr., is upgrading and re-editing Kent’s commentaries into a color-coordinated matched set of handsome paperbacks.
Listed at $15.99 retail, the John commentary is the second volume in The Kent Collection to appear. The first, an entirely re-written commentary on Mark, was released earlier this year. The John commentary is a 275-page paperback, ISBN number 0884692477, and includes updated and re-worked charts, maps, and photographs by the author.
Written with classes, small-group Bible study, or personal use in mind, the book follows a paragraph-by-paragraph study of John’s gospel, probing for precise meaning of the text. As with all of Kent’s books, it remains loyal to the authority and inerrancy of God’s Word.
Copies of Light in the Darkness are available online at www.bmhbooks.com or by calling BMH Books division manager John Leonard toll-free at 1-800-348-2756. The next volumes in the series, now in production, are commentaries on James and Ephesians.
