Second Online Meeting Helps Pastors, Leaders, Connect

About 35 pastors and ministry leaders in the Charis Fellowship gathered online Wednesday afternoon as the second of three calls designed for collaboration and encouragement as they navigate church life in a world impacted by the Coronavirus.

Let by Phil Sparling, executive director of the Charis Fellowship and senior pastor at Auburn Grace Community Church, Auburn, Calif., discussion centered around practical ways to help people stay connected.

“We [as Christians] respond differently to a crisis then what the world responds to,” said Sparling. “This is a very significant time to reach our neighbors and to make Jesus famous,” he added, noting that God has often reaped a harvest in times of crisis.

Tim Hodge, assistant executive director of the Charis Fellowship and pastor of Grace Family Church, New Holland, Pa., review the online resources that are available at charisfellowship.us.

Barb Wooler, director of crisis response for Encompass World Partners, shared resources that will be available through encompasscrisisresponse.org.
