Simi Valley Church Bids Farewell to Graduates

The graduating class of Grace Brethren High School in Simi Valley, Calif., was recognized at the commencement ceremony on June 1 at the Simi Valley Grace Brethren Church (Jordan Bakker, pastor), which sponsors the school. The Ventura County Star published a story and photo about the event:

simi valleyMembers of the 20th graduating class of Grace Brethren High School in Simi Valley received diplomas and prayers at the their commencement ceremony Friday evening.

“This is a fantastic group of students,” Principal John Hynes told the audience of family members and friends.

“These students are going off to do amazing things. First and foremost, they have a heart for our Lord and a heart to change this world.”

The ceremony was held at Grace Brethren Church on Sycamore Drive. In his invocation, Pastor John McIntosh asked for God’s protection for the class of 2012.

“We pray that as our students graduate from high school, they will be sensitive to the opportunities as well as the perils that await them,” he said. “We pray that they will find a delight in the law of the Lord.”
