A football player from Grace Brethren High School, Simi Valley, Calif., has been named a finalist for Los Angeles Football Defensive Player of the Year by USA Today. On May 19, 2020, the top athletes from around the Los Angeles area will be honored at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus.
Jay Toia, a junior defensive tackle, plans to play at USC post high school.
