Tim Hutten, US Water Polo Team, Advance to Olympic Medal Round

The USA Water Polo Team, which includes Tim Hutten (pictured at right), a member of Grace Community Church, a Grace Brethren church in Seal Beach, Calif., is one step closer to earning a medal in the Bejing 2008 Olympic Games. They defeated Germany 8-7 on Monday (August 18) at the Ying Tung Natatorium and in the process won their group with a 4-1 record. Hutten scored once during the game. (Click here to see a recap.)

Team USA Water Polo earned a bye and will advance to the semi-finals on August 22 with assurances of playing for a medal. Their opponent for August 22 will be the winner of the Spain/Serbia quarterfinal match held on August 20. (Check local listings for air time.)

A return to the medal round is a first for Team USA since the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
