Multi-Church Young Adult Christian Gathering Debuts
Members of several Warsaw area churches have come together to create a safe place, The Port, where young adult Christians and those seeking to know more about God can connect for a night of worship. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Hub in Winona Lake.
The Port worship night will begin with a complimentary dinner and a time of worship, with open time to hangout afterward. There will be opportunities to worship through testimony, music, prayer, arts and eating. The public is invite to bring only hearts for God and friends.
Haven’t been to church recently … or ever? Many of us have pasts that we wish we could change.
“There are things in my past that I’m certainly not proud of,” reflects Jason Lenon, one of the founding leaders of The Port. “Things like addiction and chasing after money and fame while I was out in Hollywood. But the good news is that God takes us right where we are. That’s what we want to see, people coming to God from right where they are. I think there’s this idea that we have to fix ourselves before we come to God. That’s just not true.”
