What’s a ‘Kingdom Conversation?’

Jul 1, 2005

hellerDuke HellerDuke Heller’s new book, How to Start a Kingdom Conversation, is designed to equip those who wish to share their faith in Christ with others.

Heller asks, “Can you point to the exact time you accepted Christ as your personal Savior?” If the answer is “no,” then he suggests there is no better time than right now to make sure.

In the book, he points out that people make many attempts to build bridges to God. These include baptism, communion, church membership, good works, and many more.

But according to scripture, there is only one “bridge” for man to unite with God, and that is through God’s Son, Jesus Christ. In the Bible, in John 14:6, Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the father, but through me.”

And so, if you are one of those who is not quite sure whether your future with God is secure, you can solve that right now, by following the instructions of Romans 10:9-10. Those verses tell us to confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and to believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. If we do that, we are promised that we are saved.

Will you pray that prayer right now? Simply tell God that you’re a sinner, that you accept His free offer of forgiving your sins through His Son, Jesus Christ, and tell Him that having accepted the gift of salvation, you now determine to live for Him and according to His Word, the Bible.
