Today (June 14) is the 60th wedding anniversary for longtime Grace Brethren pastor Robert “Whitey” and Jeanette Whited, now retired and living in Mesa, Arizona.
Pastor Whited is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University and Grace Theological Seminary and served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
He has served Grace Brethren pastorates in North English, Iowa; Cheyenne, Wyoming; San Jose, California; York, Pennsylvania; Beaumont, California; and he participated in a home missions church-plant effort in Kansas City, Kansas.
The Whiteds have four married daughters, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jeanette has been a faithful pastor’s wife, accompanying her husband on many home visitations and was active in women’s ministries.
