Frances Weber, the wife of Grace College and Seminary board member Henry Weber, passed away Friday morning. They were married for 57 years.
The funeral for Frances Weber will be Saturday, October 9, at the Lititz , Pennsylvania, Grace Brethren Church. Viewing will be at 1 p.m. and the service will be at 2 p.m.
Obituary:
On Friday, October 1, 2010 at 6 a.m.., Frances Mae Weber slipped away to be with her friend and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born September 3, 1924, daughter of the late John and Beulah Keener and sister to the late Anna Keener. She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Henry S. Weber, Jr., along with five children and seven grandchildren.
In addition to Henry, her immediate family includes daughter Sylvia Gerz, married to Steve; granddaughter Alix, married to George; grandsons Tim and Marshall; daughter Anita Curry and grandson Joshua; daughter Frances Eileen Clare, married to Dorn; son Christopher, married to Melanie; grandson Bryan, married to Shauna; and son Joseph, married to Johanna, and grandchildren Jennifer and Matthew.
Frances loved to sing and God blessed her with a beautiful soprano voice. She had been a choir member and soloist at age sixteen, continuing in those roles for a major portion of her life.
Frances and Henry were benefactors to a number of Christian institutions, among them Lancaster Bible College, Grace College and Seminary, Quest Missionary Aircraft, Teen Challenge, Lititz Christian School, and Lititz Grace Church, where Frances was a member for many years.
Frances was a very special wife and mother who was much loved by her husband and children, and she returned that love unreservedly. She had a sweet spirit about her that was very calming and encouraging. Her family and her many friends will retain fond memories of her life far into the future.
A viewing will be held at Lititz Grace Church, 501 W. Lincoln Av e., Lititz, PA on Saturday, October 9 from 1-2PM, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2PM. Following those services will be a graveside service at Long Memorial Church Cemetery in Neffsville. Following the interment, the family invites attendees to a celebration of life reception to be held in the Grace Church Cafe.
