Wooster GBC To Help With House for Needy Family

One member of the Grace Brethren Church in Wooster, Ohio has enlisted the help of his fellow parishioners to partner with another area church in building a house for a family with a handicapped child. John Weaver, an area builder, is drawing plans for a home that will accommodate the child’s wheelchair.

Smearsoll and Bickel contacted John Weaver of 89 Builders, who is drawing up plans for a modest-sized house that would accommodate Megan’s special needs. Weaver is also enlisting the help of his church, Grace Brethren of Wooster, and one of its pastors, Steve Kern. The husband of a former classmate of Bickel’s has agreed to do the excavation work needed. Smearsoll said he hopes to have a list of needed materials and required building specialties soon. Any offers of help are appreciated, he said.
