A student at Worthington Christian High School in Ohio is behind the establishment of Ohio’s “First Responders’ Appreciation Day.” Daniel Patmon is a graduating senior who worked with his grandfather, an Ohio House member from the Cleveland area, to draft what would later become House Bill 44. Columbus teen helps create First Responders’ Appreciation Day
As Ohioans celebrate the inaugural “First Responders’ Appreciation Day,” a central Ohio teen is observing the fruits of his labor.
Daniel Patmon is an 18-year-old Worthington Christian student who began the journey of creating the annual event nearly four years ago.
“Even though we aren’t old enough to vote we can still go to our representatives and senators and do our part to help this nation become more united,” Patmon said.
