John “Mike” Cressler from Susquehanna Grace Community Church in Wrightsville, Pa., has been presented with a CE National Faithfulness Award.
Mike has been a member of the Susquehanna church for six years and has made vital contributions to the church’s ministries. “Mike has been vital behind the scenes as a volunteer!” says Lonnie Skiles, pastor of the Susquehanna church.
Before Mike retired from the postal service, he would make sure the bathrooms were cleaned before the Sunday services and get coffee ready for the church’s worship team and ministry to local police officers. After he retired Mike asked Pastor Skiles how he could help him. “That request was an answer to my prayers,” says Pastor Skiles. “Every week Mike runs errands for our food service ministry, makes minor repairs, changes the message on our outdoor marquee, meets with repairmen, takes out the weekly garbage, coordinates deliveries, and proofs the weekly bulletin and runs it off. He has been a wonderful gift to our church family.”
