Access Conference attendees had the privilege of welcoming a special guest during the week. On Wednesday, July 12, award-winning Christian musical artist Steve Curtis Chapman played a concert at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Fla., in conjunction with the conference. The concert was open to the general public but conference attendees could purchase their tickets at a discounted rate. The concert drew around one thousand people, with many opting for the VIP Meet & Greet beforehand.
Show opener was another Christian artist, Cochran & Co. They played hits such as Church (Take Me Back) and Thank God for Sunday Morning. Steven Curtis Chapman played his solo set acoustically, alternating between a variety of guitars and a grand piano. He played through the decades of his biggest hits, including favorites like Dive, Saddle Up Your Horses, The Great Adventure, and Cinderella. He interspersed personal stories and background on the songs throughout his show.
