Grace College hosted its 14th-annual Presidential Scholarship Competition (PSC) on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17 and 18. PSC is an invitation-only scholarship competition for qualifying high school seniors. Invitations are based on academic achievement, with awards ranging from $1,000 scholarships to full tuition. In all, 68 scholarships were awarded totaling over $2.2 million in tuition.

Grace College men’s basketball teammates Erik Bowen and Braxton Linville earned recognition on the postseason All-Crossroads League Team, released Thursday. Bowen was named Third Team All-League, and Linville appeared on the All-Freshman Team. Bowen finished the regular season as the rebounding champion in the league, producing 9.1 boards per game to go along with a team-high 14.3

A poor offensive night doomed Grace’s women’s basketball team on Friday in the Crossroads League Tournament semifinals. The Lady Lancers (15-17) struggled mightily in the second half in a 79-50 defeat against No. 3 Marian. Grace produced only 18 points and shot 23 percent from the floor after halftime. The Knights (29-3) forced 19 turnovers
