Fire Near Camp Clear Lake Continues to Burn

The Miriam Fire in Washington state has continued to grow as campers and staff at Clear Lake Grace Brethren Camp near Whites Pass ski area were evacuated earlier this week due to the fire. The Yakima Valley Office of Emergency Management issued this report this morning on their Facebook page, along with the image at right.

Camp Clear Lake Evacuated Due to Fire

Campers at Clear Lake Grace Brethren Camp near White’s Pass, Wash., have been evacuated as a precaution due to the Miriam Fire. The fire, apparently caused by a lightning strike, began on Monday about three miles southeast of the White Pass ski area.
